Tsugu Tsugu Kintsugi Exhibition 2026 in Tokyo — KS46Wall, Ochanomizu

Tsugu Tsugu Kintsugi Exhibition 2026 in Tokyo — KS46Wall, Ochanomizu

Sept 17–21, 2026 | Free to view (glass-front display)

Now on view through September 21, our kintsugi exhibition is on display at KS46Wall, Ochanomizu Soracity (B1) in Tokyo.

The display is glass-fronted and free to view from the street, day and night — a rare chance to see many restored and original works together, made by students and instructors of Tsugu Tsugu.

Take a quick look around the exhibition space in this 30-second video.

About the Exhibition

This marks the third kintsugi exhibition since Tsugu Tsugu was founded.
This exhibition goes beyond kintsugi repair alone.
Every piece is finished with real urushi lacquer and real gold, using traditional Japanese techniques. Alongside restored kintsugi pieces, you'll also find original lacquerware — wood coated in natural urushi and finished with maki-e, hand-painted gold decoration. Together, they offer a deeper look into the world of Japanese lacquer art.

How to View and Buy

Viewing at KS46Wall

This exhibition is a public display only. There are no workshops and no staff desk at KS46Wall during the exhibition, and pieces cannot be purchased on the spot.

Buying a piece you like

Some of the works on display are available for purchase. Next to each piece for sale, you'll find a QR code. Scan it with your phone to open that piece's page on our official Japan online shop, where you can purchase it securely during the exhibition period. Purchased pieces are carefully packed and shipped within Japan within one week after the exhibition ends.

Visiting from overseas

These exhibition pieces are not yet listed on our international shop here on kintsugi-kit.com, since pricing there is calculated differently — in US dollars and including international shipping. Any pieces still available after the exhibition ends will be added to kintsugi-kit.com soon, so international customers can purchase them with shipping abroad. Thank you for your patience.

If you are currently in Japan, for example staying at a hotel, and would like to buy a piece now, you can order it through our Japan shop and have it shipped to your address in Japan.
